About
Flux is Wrenchy Productions' engine
Wrenchy Productions is my company, in Australia. Flux is its game engine, made for the studios it publishes.
One engine for every studio
Flux is one engine and one set of tools that every studio I publish shares, each turning on what its games need. Saves, multiplayer, Steam, crash reports and the release check are the same frameworks in every one of those games, and no release of Flux goes out until its frameworks and templates have passed the whole run of its tests.
Close to Godot
Flux is upstream Godot plus twelve small patches and one module, so moving to a newer Godot is a quick job instead of a big merge. Every file Flux adds, and every line it changes in Godot's own files, carries Wrenchy Productions' mark, so a studio that leaves Flux can find all of it with one search.
Based on Godot Engine
Flux is based on Godot Engine 4.7.2, which is free and open source under the MIT licence. Godot's licence, its copyright lines and its contributors' credits stay in every Flux build, and every game made from a Flux template carries them on its credits screen.
